Dogs at Sandown House

Enjoy a Highland escape with your hound to the Sandown House.

Here at Sandown House we welcome dogs to enjoy our 5-star hospitality. We have two Labradors ourselves – Tara and Kerry.

Our location is home to some of Scotland’s most wonderful landscapes. With sandy beaches, off-road cycling trails and lots more – it’s perfect for heading out on a pursuit with your pooch.

Please note, we charge £25 per dog per stay.

We are surrounded by fields and beaches, which are only yards from the house. We have two ground floor rooms which are ideal for dogs as they have easy access to grass areas. Specially for your dog we provide a mat/dogbed, bowl and treat for your 4-legged friend.

We also have a few guidelines which we would ask you to follow if you are bringing your dog here.

Please don’t allow your dogs on the furniture such as beds or chairs.

Please don’t leave your dog alone in the room, unless they are in a cage.

Please let us know if you need any extra towels for your dog.

Unfortunately, not all of our guests are dog lovers, therefore, please don’t bring them into the public areas.

We understand how important your dog is in your life and if you have forgotten to bring anything, please let us know and we will do our best to assist.

We are happy to provide room service breakfast if you don’t want to leave your dog on their own.

Sundancer Café and Take Away – Best location in Nairn, on the seafront/harbour – great fresh food, cooked to order

Havelock Hotel – great home cooked pub food with beer garden close to the sea

Jackos – Friendly pub with entertainment some nights and sports TV

Black Isle Brewery – Inverness – Wide selection of organic craft beers, wood fired pizza, freshly cooked

Kimberley Inn – Findhorn – Fabulous location, outside dining available, great home cooked food and good selection of fresh fish and seafood

Dores Inn – Dores – Wonderful location on Loch Ness, open all day, great food and beer garden

Golf View Hotel – dogs welcome in lounge and bar areas, where food is served

Classroom – great central location in Narn

Cawdor Tavern – village pub in the country
